Jackson Residence

Josh designed and built almost every part of this
timber framed home for and with his parents. The
frame includes thirty one structural forks and second
floor log joists from trees felled by Josh's brother
and father on the property. First floor joists,
braces, and the twelve scribed dormer valleys were all
made of black cherry hearts rescued from the pallet
mill. The foot thick walls are made of straw clay,
clad outside with local pine boards, and finished
inside with earth plaster and milk paint. The stones
