Vermont Great Room
This great room in Vermont has the hand planed finish
of a house frame and the soul of a barn. It is a
simple square ruled frame, embellished only with a
delicate chamfer on every edge of each piece, including
edges of housings and shoulders of posts and braces.
By chamfering right through the joints they are
highlighted and the inevitable movement of these
initially tight fits is forgiven.
